Understand the source
Inspect a stereo WAV’s sample rate, bit depth, duration, and channel count. Review peak level and the amount of stereo information in the low frequencies.
Planned release · macOS application
A vinyl mastering app for Mac, designed for studio engineers and music makers who want to understand and prepare their audio files for the next stage.
The app is one of VER7REV’s first planned software offerings. It brings stereo WAV analysis and focused preparation into a straightforward desktop workflow: choose a file, review the checks, and process it when an adjustment is needed.
The current development version displays the technical details behind its recommendations, so you can see what needs attention before exporting an adjusted WAV.
The detail matters.
Focused audio preparation, on your Mac.
Inside the current development version
The app shows its analysis and the changes it recommends. Processing becomes available when the selected file needs an adjustment under the app’s checks.
Inspect a stereo WAV’s sample rate, bit depth, duration, and channel count. Review peak level and the amount of stereo information in the low frequencies.
Where the analysis calls for it, centre low-frequency stereo information, reduce peak level to create headroom, or convert the file to dithered 24-bit PCM.
Choose where to save the processed WAV. The app analyses the exported file again, allowing you to review the result within the same workflow.
A closer look
Preparing audio for a physical format involves more than changing a filename. The app makes its vinyl-specific checks visible to the person doing the work.
It is a preparation tool within a mastering workflow. Your cutting engineer’s delivery specifications should guide the final file you supply.
